Consultations

Are consultations online?

Yes. All consultations are held as virtual meetings, so you can consult from Australia or overseas. Choose a preferred time in Melbourne time when you send your request.

Is my booking confirmed when I send the form?

No — the form sends a request. Your paid consultation is confirmed once VVS replies by email and WhatsApp with payment details and your virtual meeting link.

How can I check your registration?

Search MARN 2619613 on the Register of Migration Agents. Home Affairs recommends checking who can help with your visa before you pay anyone.

Can you guarantee my visa?

No one can. All visa decisions are made by the Department of Home Affairs. We give you honest, lawful advice on your options and risks under the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.

Skilled visas & points

How many points do I need?

The minimum is 65 points for the 189, 190 and 491 visas. Your invitation will state the score you need when your application is assessed, which may be higher. Estimate your points.

Is there an age limit for skilled visas?

For the 189, 190 and 491 visas you must be under 45 when you're invited to apply. The Skills in Demand (482) visa has no age requirement, and the 186 visa has some age exemptions.

What English score do I need?

Competent English is the minimum for most skilled visas. Proficient earns 10 points and Superior earns 20. For PTE Academic tests taken on or after 7 August 2025, Superior means at least 69 Listening, 70 Reading, 85 Writing and 88 Speaking. See all score bands.

What counts as 'regional' Australia?

For the 494 visa, designated regional areas include all of Australia except Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Study

Can I apply for a Student visa from inside Australia?

From 2 October 2026, most Student visa applications must be lodged outside Australia. You can only apply in Australia if you hold an eligible visa and meet an exemption. Read the Student visa guide.

Can I work on a Student visa?

Student visa holders can work up to 48 hours a fortnight while their course is in session. Masters by research and doctoral students have no work limit.

Can I stay after I graduate?

The Temporary Graduate (485) visa lets eligible graduates stay for 18 months to 3 years. You must usually be 35 or under and apply within 6 months of completing your qualification. Read the 485 guide.

Refusals

My visa was refused. What should I do?

Act quickly. Many refusal and cancellation decisions can be reviewed by the Administrative Review Tribunal, but time limits are very strict and can't be extended. Check your decision letter and contact us immediately.
